I’m Julia Jordan—Founder of MSJ Marketing, fractional CMO, and strategic growth advisor with over two decades of experience in marketing, business development, and brand strategy. 

Seventeen years ago, I left the executive track and built MSJ Marketing from the ground up—bootstrapped, client-driven, and growth-focused. What started as a solo consultancy has become a go-to partner for companies in SaaS, tech, real estate, professional and B2B services. I’ve built and led marketing departments, structured go-to-market strategies, cleaned up messy systems, and helped teams stop wasting money on efforts that don’t convert.

More than anything, I lead with strategy. I don’t just “do marketing”—I align it with business goals, cross-functional priorities, and scalable systems that move companies forward. I  have two philosophies that have never failed me: 1. The data never lies 2. Optimize what you have before you add and create chaos.  What works for one company may not work for you. Customized strategies are key. 

But beyond the work—here’s a little about me:

• I’m a former President & CEO of a regional economic development organization, focused on small business growth and expansion, where I led legislative and advocacy programs across dozens of communities.
   
• I’ve consulted for multi-million-dollar companies as well as bootstrapped startups and know how to speak both languages.
   
• I’ve recovered entire marketing departments that were underperforming and rebuilt them into productive, confident teams.
   
• I’m known as the “cleaner” by peers for my ability to see through chaos and build marketing systems that actually work.
   

At my core, I’m a connector. I thrive when I’m helping people find the right resources, relationships, or opportunities that move them forward—whether that’s clients, colleagues, or teams. I see strategy not just as planning, but as building bridges: between departments, between goals and action, and between people who need each other to grow. Creating systems is part of it, but the real fulfillment comes from watching people step into their next level with the right tools in hand.

Outside of work, I’m a dog lover, an old-school writer who still keeps notebooks, and a puzzle-solver by nature. Give me something broken or underperforming, and I’ll dive in until it makes sense and works better than before. I find joy in simplifying things, in bringing order to chaos, and in creating space for people to do their best work—at home, in business, and everywhere in between.
