Digital success is created through strategic maneuvers. In this DIY series, I am breaking down optimization for beginners. It is not as complicated as we make it seem. Here is a step-by-step understanding of optimization and how it works. Optimization is the ability to make your digital content achieve better visibility and engagement. It involves tweaking various elements to align with both user expectations and search engine algorithms.
Internal links connect your website’s pages, guiding users through your content. Think of them as a roadmap that not only improves user experience but also helps search engines understand the structure of your site. Linking to pages about products mentioned on the homepage or other page, referencing another blog or something else that links pages with pages. You can also add cluster mapping, but that is a whole other blog I have yet to write but stay tuned!
Keywords have the POWER to drive your site! They are the compass guiding users to your digital doorstep. By integrating certain relevant keywords into your content and meta description your website is easily found when you have your digital footprint built out.
External links, or backlinks, are endorsements from other reputable sites. They act as a vote of confidence in your content, signaling to search engines that your information is trustworthy and valuable. It is more important than ever to link to your suppliers, other sources outside your site like your YouTube, Rumble, or social accounts, and collaborations with other brands. The more connected you are and the better the links you use to sites that are trusted the more relevant you become. BONUS points- if you can get your suppliers, manufacturers, and other networks to also list you and a link to your site. That is like a virtual GOLD POT!
With the rise of AI, search engines now prioritize relevance and authenticity. If you use Ai to write the structure of your content it is important to clean it up and make it genuine content. Informative, and engaging content that resonates with your audience. Quality content not only attracts visitors but also encourages them to stay and explore. Keep your sentences to about 20 words or less and make sure your page is content-rich, meaning you have more than 300 words on your page but not too much. It’s like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, you need to find the “just right” spot.

User experience (UX) encompasses the overall satisfaction users derive from interacting with your website. An optimized site with a user-friendly interface not only attracts but retains visitors and creates conversions. Read more about DIY conversion
